Acura unveiled a prototype of ZDX four door coupe at the 2009 New York International Auto Show. The Acura ZDX is 192.4 inches long, 78.5 inches wide and 61.8 inches tall and has a wheelbase of 108.2 inches. The Acura ZDX prototype power comes from a V-6 engine mated to an all-new, smooth shifting 6-speed automatic transmission. The potent powertrain will be coupled with Acura’s exclusive Super Handling All-Wheel DriveTM (SH-AWD) system. The production version of the Acura ZDX prototype goes on-sale in the fall of 2009.

The Acura ZDX built on the MDX platform, comes in a 5-door configuration. The rear doors open up into a reasonably sized seating area, and a large hatch allows for easy access to the cargo area. Storage space is noticeably compromised compared to the MDX.The base model “6-Spd AT” is equiped with a leather interior, power-adjustable front seats and dual-zone climate control. The Technology Package adds features like keyless entry, push-button start and a navigation system with voice recognition. The ZDX Advance Package adds adaptive cruise control, an adaptive damper system and speed-sensitive steering.
The Acyra ZDX 6-Spd AT is equiped with a 3.7 liter V6 engine producing 300 horsepower and 270 lbft torque with a fule economy 16mpg in city and 23mpg in highway, the 6-Spd AT Technology Package and the 6-Spd AT Advance Package has the same 3.7 liter V6 engine with same fuel economy. That much of power for a four-wheel drive crossover is quite adequate.
